The SEMICON Japan 2025 exhibition is set to take place in Tokyo from December 17 to 19, 2025, with Topco Scientific (TSC) and its Japanese subsidiary Shunkawa participating alongside nine semiconductor suppliers from Taiwan, the US, and Japan. Together, they will showcase critical materials and equipment covering semiconductor front-end processing, power modules, and advanced packaging, as well as integrated solutions for smart energy-saving monitoring systems.
TSC highlighted that the show will focus on a wide range of key materials, components, and equipment used in wafer fabrication through packaging and testing. Participating companies include Indium, a manufacturer of electronic and semiconductor packaging materials; 3S Silicon Tech, a packaging equipment manufacturer; ChenFull International, a provider of facility engineering and precision component integration; Yesiang, a chemical filter producer; Grand Plastic Technology (GPTC), a supplier of semiconductor wet-process equipment; Taiwan E&M Systems (TEAMS), a semiconductor component provider; Kuwana Metals, a precision fluid-control equipment maker from Japan; AceMach, a semiconductor testing equipment maker; and 3Egreen Technology, a provider of energy consumption inventory solutions.
Advancing semiconductor development through bilateral cooperation
TSC Group established Shunkawa in 2022, setting up operating bases in both Tokyo and Kumamoto. According to TSC CEO Dennis Chen, Japanese suppliers have long played a crucial and irreplaceable role in semiconductor process materials, while Taiwan leads the world in advanced wafer manufacturing. He noted that bilateral cooperation between Taiwan and Japan complements the development of the semiconductor sector in both markets.
Chen added that through TSC's international supply chain platform, the company aims to help Taiwanese semiconductor suppliers enter the Japanese market, including partnerships with Renesas Electronics, Kioxia Holdings, Mitsubishi, and Sony, while continuing to introduce high-quality Japanese products to Taiwan. With the Japanese government promoting the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers, the company will continue to pursue potential business opportunities.
Showcasing key materials, components, equipment
In the area of key materials and components, Indium will showcase high-purity indium ingots, solder sheets, and both pressure and pressureless sintered copper pastes, which can be widely applied in power modules and components requiring high-efficiency heat dissipation. When paired with 3S' formic acid vacuum reflow ovens for soldering processes, the system avoids contaminating chips or vacuum chambers and eliminates environmentally harmful gas emissions. It also enables flatter, more secure chip bonding and enhanced thermal performance.
Yesiang provides micro-contamination gas filtration solutions for advanced semiconductor processes. Its chemical filter products are fully customized to meet specific customer needs, preventing wafer damage and ensuring improved yield. Kuwana Metal will showcase its mass flow controllers (MFCs), featuring high sensitivity, excellent responsiveness, and precise control, demonstrating its versatility and high reliability.
ChenFull's process exhaust systems are used in high-tech facilities both in Taiwan and abroad, offering acid- and alkali-resistant, corrosion-proof piping and integrated solutions to enhance scrubber performance. GPTC focuses on wet-process equipment for technologies such as co-packaged optics (CPO), 3D integrated circuit (3DIC), chip on wafer on substrate (CoWoS), and chip on panel on substrate (CoPoS).
TSC subsidiary TEAMS collaborates with clients to develop components for advanced semiconductor processes. The company will exhibit semiconductor process components such as perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) O-rings, quartz gas nozzles, and ceramic rings for etching processes, designed to support the high precision required in etching and thin-film deposition processes.
In the field of inspection equipment, AceMach highlights its Taiwan-made products, launching a full range of photomask inspection systems covering processes from mature to advanced 3nm nodes. All machines feature high-precision automated optical inspection (AOI) technology.
Promoting green eco-friendly solutions
Another highlight of SEMICON Japan is Shunkawa's showcase of eco-friendly solutions in response to the energy-saving and carbon-reduction trends. The company is exhibiting 3Egreen's integrated solution, featuring a smart clamp meter that uses AI of Things (AIoT) to help manufacturing plants monitor energy consumption in real time and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Energy usage data and trajectories are fully recorded and stored, allowing for precise tracking of carbon emissions through electricity consumption monitoring.
