Market watchers have estimated Asustek Computer's consolidated revenues in January at around NT$13.5 billion (US$398.7 million), drops of 16.15% on month and 38.91% on year mainly due to ongoing shipment instability in Eastern Europe.
The market watchers also expect Asustek's consolidated revenues in the first quarter of 2009 to reach only NT$45-50 billion, drops of 26-33% on quarter and 20.28.5% on year.
Asustek is estimated to have shipped 1.3 million motherboards in January this year, while notebooks and netbooks totaled 300,000 units each, the watchers noted.
Meanwhile, Pegatron Technology has announced revenues of NT$23.26 billion for January, drops of 18.4% on month and 35.7% on year. The company shipped 1.56 million motherboards, 400,000-450,000 notebooks (not including Eee PCs) and 482,000 graphics cards.
Gigabyte Technology's revenues in January jumped 77.23% on month to NT$3.9 billion due to the delay of some orders to January. The revenues were however still a drop of 31.46% on year.
Gigabyte shipped 1.6 million motherboards and 250,000 graphics cards in January.
