E Ink, a leading e-Paper manufacturer, has partnered with Japan's Oricom to jointly develop the next-generation advertising display billboard "Sustainable Board," featuring the latest color ePaper technology, E Ink Spectra 6.
The Sustainable Board is launched under Oricom's proprietary brand Mirapale and is designed as a sustainable media playback system specifically for corporate advertising users.
E Ink stated that E Ink Spectra 6 offers wide viewing angles and image quality comparable to printed paper, along with vivid poster-like color performance. It relies on reflected ambient light rather than self-emission, allowing clear visibility even under direct sunlight.
Oricom highlighted that the Sustainable Board is suitable for installation in reception areas, lobbies, showrooms, shopping malls, and tourist attractions. It represents a novel communication method that both enhances corporate branding and supports environmental sustainability initiatives.
Currently, the Sustainable Board is undergoing installation trials at major train stations across Japan. In the future, it aims to be widely applied in commercial spaces and locations with high advertising demand, tailored to different environments and occasions.
