E Ink Holdings (EIH), an e-paper solutions supplier, is actively expanding its e-paper application ecosystem to include panel vendor BOE Technology and IC design house MediaTek.

EIH chairman Johnson Lee hopes that building a comprehensive e-paper ecosystem will help the company grow its business and broaden the scope of e-paper applications, allowing EIH to provide the market with more energy-saving e-paper products.

At this year's Touch Taiwan exhibition, EIH with join companies from all levels of the supply chain to showcase low-carbon sustainable e-paper solutions.

Sharp and EIH will jointly showcase their exclusive indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) backplane technology, which can be used in the manufacturing of e-paper modules for e-readers and e-paper notebooks.

IGZO backplanes are used in e-paper displays and can create a higher resolution, faster page-turning speed, and more power savings for e-readers, according to EIH.

EIH is actively forming alliances with module partners to provide customers with a full range of color e-paper modules in various sizes, which can be applied to electronic shelf labels (ESL), signboards, and large-size billboards.

TPV Technology is expected to display new systems including 28-inch and 25.3-inch EIH Gallery Plus color e-paper billboard systems, 7.3-inch EIH Gallery Palette sales promotion billboard, and 10.3-inch EIH Kaleido 3 color e-paper notebook.
