Everlight introduces full color LED product
Taiwan-based LED packaging house Everlight Electronics has announced the availability of the EHP-B02, a RGB full color LED in a new SMT package. The EHP-B02 combines the benefits of high power and high efficiency, and each LED has sufficient brightness to replace a lighting fixture consisting of neon lights, CCFL and LED arrays.The Everlight EHP-B02 LED consists of three chips mounted onto an aluminum-cored printed circuit board (PCB). It produces three watts of power with typical light flux output of 35 lm (green color), 25 lm (red color), and 8 lm (blue) at 350mA. The EHP-B02 is a RoHS-compliant component and meets green environmental initiatives. With its 130-degree viewing angle and low thermal resistance, the EHP-B02 is suited for a variety of applications, including decorative, entertainment, architectural lighting, TFT LCD display backlight, signal and symbol luminaries for orientation marker lights, and exterior and interior automotive illumination.Everlight EHP-B02 RGB SMT LEDPhoto: Company, April 2009

A-Data launches SSD via co-branding with Intel

Taiwan market: Sony to launch five new Cybershot digital cameras

Softex Taipei: Fujitsu to push notebooks with discrete graphics cards

Taiwan market: Sony to launch Walkman NWZ-X1060 in early June

AMD and Nvidia introduce new GPUs
AMD has introduced the ATI Radeon HD 4890 GPU while Nvidia has announced the GeForce GTX 275 GPU.The ATI Radeon HD 4890 GPU boasts 1.36 teraflops of compute power, GDDR5 memory, and engine clock speeds capable of nearly 1GHz, according to AMD.By harnessing ATI Stream technology in combination with a number of ATI Stream-enabled applications, the ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics card can help accelerate the conversion of standard and HD video into multiple formats for use on differing consumer electronics devices as well as harness AMD's second generation Unified Video Decoder (UVD 2.0) to play back smooth HD video, the company highlighted.The ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics card is supported by partners including Asustek Computer, Club 3D, Diamond Multimedia, Force3D, GeCube, Gigabyte Technology, Hightech Information Systems (HIS), Jetway, Micro-Star International (MSI), Palit Multimedia, PowerColor, Sapphire Technology, VisionTek and XFX. Taiwan market: Dell announces five Nehalem-based servers
Dell has announced the launch of five Intel Xeon 5500-based servers in the Taiwan market.The servers launched are Dell's PowerEdge M610 and M710 blade servers, R610 and R710 rack servers, and T610 tower server. Taiwan market: HP launches Yukon-based Pavilion dv2 ultra-thin notebook
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched its 12.1-inch Pavilion dv2 ultra-thin notebook in the Taiwan market. Leadtek unveils Nvidia Quadro graphics family additions
Leadtek Research has announced its Quadro professional solution family which includes the FX 3800, FX 1800, FX 580 and FX 380.The Leadtek Quadro FX 3800 professional graphics solution features 192 "Cuda parallel processor cores", a 1GB GDDR3 frame buffer memory and 256bit memory interface.
