Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has announced that 28nm support within its Open Innovation Platform (OIP) design infrastructure is fully delivered, as demonstrated by 89 new 28nm designs scheduled to tapeout. Nvidia has signed a 3-year research collaboration agreement with IMEC on advanced CMOS scaling, according to the Belgium-based research institute.By joining IMEC's core CMOS program, Nvidia will get early insight in the impact of future process and design technology options on its next-generation products.
