Taiwan-based Prosperity Dielectrics Company (PDC), which supplies powder materials to multi-layer ceramic-chip capacitor (MLCC) makers, has posted consolidated revenues of NT$2.67 billion (US$84.21 million) for 2009, translating to a net EPS of NT$0.85, for which it will hand out a dividend of NT$0.70, including NT$0.50 in cash and NT$0.20 in shares.
Although PDC saw consolidated revenues decline 12% sequentially in February 2010, its March revenues are expected to return to the level of January on a positive market outlook, leveling revenues in the first quarter compared to fourth-quarter 2009, according to market sources. The company has seen order visibility extend to April thanks to strong sales of MLCCs.
PDC has entered the supply chain of Japan-based passive component makers and is expected to see shipment volumes ramp up beginning in second-quarter 2010, the sources said.
