Networking device maker Accton Technology has reported net profit surged 36% on year to NT$1.032 billion (US$34.48 million) in the first quarter of 2020, while revenues grew 5% to NT$11.724 billion.
First-quarter EPS was NT$1.86.
Accton said that it is cautious about its business prospects for the future in view of the profound impacts of the coronavirus pandemic, and that it is building a more resilient business model capable of responding to the needs for new communication applications for stay-at-home and other virus prevention initiatives.
The company's April consolidated revenues reached NT$4.072 billion, down 12.5% on month and 10.17% on year. January-April revenues totaled NT$15.796 billion, up 0.6% on year.
