Huawei has launched its latest smartphone, the P9 Plus, in the Taiwan market, aiming to ramp up its share in the local handset market to 5% in 2016.
While the P9 Plus comes with 4GB RAM and a choice of between 64GB or 128GB of storage, only the 64GB version is being introduced to Taiwan, priced at NT$20,900 (US$641) unlocked, according to Huawei's sales representative in Taiwan.
The P9 Plus sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, Kirin 955 octa-core CPU, dual 12-megapixel cameras and a 3400mAh battery and supports all LTE bands from 700/900/1800 to 2600Mhz available in Taiwan and Cat.6 at 300Mbps.
