Huawei has introduced its new flagship smartphone, the Huawei P9, into Taiwan and aims to ship over 100,000 units of the device in the local market.
While featuring a 5.-inch Full HD IPS display and Kirin 955 8-core CPU, the model available in the local market will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM, priced at NT$16,900 (US$522) unlocked.
Pre-sale orders for the Huawei P9 have reached over four million units globally, claimed Huawei's sales representative in Taiwan, adding that Huawei aims to ship over 10 million Huawei P9's worldwide.
Huawei also aims to capture a 5% share in Taiwan's smartphone market in 2016, said the representative.
