Wintec ties up with Eye-Fi on Wi-Fi SD card production
Wintec Industries, a US-based third-party ODM/OEM DRAM module supplier, announced that it will manufacture a Wi-Fi-supported SecureDigital (SD) card, for Eye-Fi.Eye-Fi unveiled its Wi-Fi SD card on October 30. The SD card that supports Wi-Fi connectivity has a 2GB memory density and is now available only in the US with a suggested retail price of US$99.99.According to the companies, the connectivity range is 90+ feet outdoors and 45+ feet indoors. The card works with 802.11g, 802.11b and backwards-compatible 802.11n wireless networks. This Wi-Fi SD card currently does not support connection to "hot spots," but instead is limited only to home networks or other open or network password based networks.The companies highlighted that photos can be uploaded wirelessly to PCs, and online photo galleries such as Flickr, Facebook and Picasa. Canon releases two new projectors
Canon USA has expanded its line of LCD projectors with two new XGA-resolution models (LV-7585 and LV-7365).The LV-7585 is designed for the installation market, and is a large-venue model engineered for use in lecture halls, college auditoriums, houses of worship, museums, indoor shopping centers, corporate office lobbies and similar environments, while the LV-7365 is designed for teachers, businesspeople and other professionals needing the advantages of powerful yet affordable presentation features while still being lightweight.The LV-7585 features 6500 ANSI Lumens of brightness, a contrast ratio of 1600:1, an auto-winding filter system, and a standard 1.3x Genuine Canon Optical zoom lens (or a choice of four different optional high-quality interchangeable lenses). Albatron announces Nvidia GeForce 8800GT graphics card
Albatron has announced the 8800GT-512, a new performance graphics card featuring the Nvidia GeForce 8800GT GPU.The latest GeForce 8 series includes support for PureVideo HD and PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0, which has twice the data throughput (5GT/s) of its predecessor PCIe technology, according to the company.With a core clock of 600MHz, the GPU uses 65nm process technology, which allows for lower power consumption leading to cooler temperatures and the use of quieter and thinner fans for a thin card geometry, according to Albatron.The Albatron 8800GT-512 has 512MB of 1800MHz GDDR3 memory and includes two DVI connectors and an HDTV-out connector. Leadtek announces the latest graphics cards based on Nvidia G92

Biostar announces GeForce 8800GT PCIe 2.0 graphics card

Thermaltake unveils M9 series PC chassis
Thermaltake Technology recently released its new M9 series chassis.The M9 chassis features a glossy finished, metal meshed styling. The metal meshed front panel allows ventilation flow through the entire body of the chassis with the help of two 12cm fans and air guide, according to the company. Foxconn releases new Intel P35 chipset motherboard
Foxconn recently announced the release of its P35AP-S motherboard, aiming to bring more connectivity and digital entertainment capability to the high-end market.The P35AP-S adopts the Intel P35 chipset and offers support for both DDR3 and DDR2 memory.
