Samsung Electronics has announced it has started sampling its new solid-state drives (SSDs) in 64GB capacities that support the SATA 3Gbps interface. The new series of SSDs are targeted for high-end notebook and high-performance storage applications.The NAND flash chips in the new SSD series are 8Gb single-level cell (SLC) chips fabricated on a 50nm-class production process, according to the company.
