Moreover, the in-house TX chipset is embedded in the ISP, making the camera quite compact. The camera adopts smart IR technology, along with photoresister, making day/night switch more accurate; what worth a mention is their superb noise reduction ability, which can not only save HDD storage capacity, but also help deliver a benefit of rendering brilliant visual effect even under low illumination, which is suitable for applications such as underground parking lot or anywhere in dim-light surroundings."There was something hovering in my mind during product planning phase," said John Li, HDCVI Product Manager at Dahua Technology. "At that time, what I was thinking was how to perfectly leverage performance and price, for example, we were keen to present very competitive 1080p HDCVI camera, satisfying HD surveillance with basic functions acquired. Most of all, the product should stay with a very friendly price and 1200-lite-series is the answer."In addition to the HDCVI cameras, Dahua also presents tri-brid HDCVI S2-seies DVRs (HCVR S2 series). "We has indeed introduced some HCVRs before, but what makes S2 different is that this series is ready to replace all the conventional DVRs," said Jason Zhong, Product Manager at Dahua Technology. "S2 has the best color reproduction than ever."Moreover, thanks to the enhanced ultra UTP EQ function, the S2-series is able to support even longer transmission distance, for example, 1,100 meters for 720p with clear images and 800 meters for 1080p; meanwhile, this series supports 4G/Wi-Fi, making transmission more smooth and faster.Dauha tribrid DVRs can accommodate all types of Seagate HDDs. IP-based Communications Build up Smart Factories
The essence of smart factory lies in a well-connected communication network which allows for automated manufacturing, remote monitoring, and smooth operations. It makes possible to apply big data analysis to optimize production, logistic, and inventory management."Factory owners must build a smart factory step by step" said Hadwin Liu, Chief Architect of NEXCOM Network and Communication Solutions Business Unit. "Establishing efficient and secure industrial communication architecture is critical."The circuit switching method, used in traditional industrial communication architecture, has several drawbacks including poor transmission efficiency and time-consuming maintenance. Industrial Ethernet, however, adopts packet switching method supporting full duplex operation, sharable bandwidth, and traffic prioritization. These benefits help managers get real-time status to detect abnormality while simplifying maintenance.Still, there are plenty serial-based devices and devices using different protocols too critical to be replaced overnight. Liu suggests that factory owners can take a small step by deploying industry Ethernet switches in pursuit of better transmission efficiency and better management mechanism."VPNs and industry firewalls must be deployed for network security," Liu reminds. Industry VPNs and firewalls differ from commercial ones in protection level and durability. Experienced in industrial communication, NEXCOM offers industry VPNs and Firewalls paving ways for factories' IP migration. For factories such as wind farms, industrial Ethernet is suitable for operation monitoring, allowing operators to access real time operation status from afar. Newly built plants are also more IP-friendly. The IP-based communication will continue to drive innovation, propelling industry automation over the next decade. For more information about NEXCOM, please visit http://www.nexcom.com/The industrial Ethernet offers great flexibility in sharing bandwidth and connecting field devices.

Connected Cars Drive ITS and New Services Boom
Increasingly connected, cars are becoming mobile devices on wheels. Running alongside the internet of things, connected cars not only revolutionize intelligent transportation systems (ITS) but also provide drivers and passengers more innovative services. The connected car is booming. Automakers and Silicon Valley companies are extending their interactive offerings with built-in or brought-in solutions like Ford Sync, General Motors OnStar, Volvo On Call, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The cars are made possible thanks to computerized in-vehicle terminals once exclusive to luxurious vehicles. By integrating vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, wireless connectivity, and mobile devices, these terminals deliver smarter and safer driving experience with in-vehicle infotainment, navigation, vehicle diagnosis, and traffic updates. For instance, drivers can stream online music and share real-time location and estimated arrival time using location-based services like Glympse.Additionally, in-vehicle terminals can send in-vehicle data over vehicle-to-Cloud (V2C) connection for further analysis, assisting in increasing fuel efficiencies, reducing repair costs, and improving road conditions. It is possible that drivers are notified with the latest vehicle information for preventive maintenance while transport departments can be informed about potholes for repairs. The innovation does not stop here. In-vehicle terminals turn car dashboards into vehicles' control centers, boosting advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) upgrades and creating new business models. Passengers can also benefit by enjoying media streaming services like Karaoke. For more information about NEXCOM, please visit http://www.nexcom.com/Prevalence of connected cars turns vehicle into mobile devices, revolutionizes ITS, and provides more value-added services.
