ETASIS launches new 2U series redundant power supply
Press release

ETASIS, a leading manufacturer of redundant power supply and energy-efficient power solutions, introduces the 2U, and high efficiency power product family, ranges from 550W to 400W. This product provides a 12VDC output and a stand-by 5V output. With the low cost and enhanced performance of 80plus Gold level efficiency, it is still featuring the small form factor of 85x84x217(mm).

The new 2U series products can be used in network appliance, network security, surveillance, servers, and storage equipment, providing them with reliable power at 90%-92% peak power efficiency. Higher efficiency means less energy wasted within the product and less energy used in cooling infrastructure. Products which incorporate energy-efficient power supplies would definitely help on the utility cost from day one.

Additional features include PMBus communication. The 2U products family also features highly accurate real-time monitoring of input and output parameters, voltages, currents, temperatures, and true power readings. This enables system administrators to optimize system usage and then to reduce power loss, further increasing the energy gains beyond those of the power supply itself. Etasis PMBus communication follows standard PMBus version 1.2 and is widely compatible with motherboards from all mainstream server board manufacturers.

Founded in 1996, ETASIS designs and manufactures energy-efficient redundant power supplies, which are used in network appliance, network security, surveillance, servers, IPC, storage equipment and also custom applications. Etasis Electronics is located in Taipei, Taiwan, and has global business partners, in Asia, Europe, and in the states. For more information please visit or come to its showroom at Computex at room 202B at TICC.
