Ennoconn develops short-throw laser projection technology

IPC and IIoT solution provider Ennoconn has developed short-throw laser projection technology featuring high resolution and brightness catering to industrial, commercial and home entertainment purposes, according to company chairman and CEO Steve Chu.

While the spatial scope of the projection technology ranges from 65 inches to 180 inches, 100-120 inches will be the mainstream projection scope, Chu said. Ennoconn has landed orders from 3-4 US-based clients and will begin small-volume shipments in fourth-quarter 2020 and large-volume shipments in first-quarter 2021, Chu noted.

Ennoconn has seen fruition of non-operating investment, for most of the companies where Ennoconn is a main shareholder, such as Taiwan-based Marketech International, CASwell, Goldtek Technology and Dexatek Technology, Austria-based S&T, Germany-based Kontron, US-based American Industrial Systems and China-based Ennoconn (Suzhou) Technology, have profited well, Chu indicated.

Ennoconn now focuses on its own business operation by virtue of developing new technologies and products instead of continuing non-operating investment or merger, Chu said, adding Ennoconn expects business to grow sequentially in third-quarter 2020 and peak in the fourth quarter.

Ennoconn's shareholders have approved the distribution of a dividend per share of NT$5.00 (US$0.17) for 2019.

Ennoconn has reported consolidated revenues of NT$5.771 billion for May, shrinking 3.65% sequentially but growing 0.72% on year, and those of NT$29.623 billion for January-May rose 1.83% on year.
