Pricing for LCD TV and open cell panel modules are expected to drop in the latter part of June, according to research firm WitsView.
Panels sized 32-inch are expected to drop around US$1 while 39-and 42-inch units will drop around US$1-3. LCD TV panels sized 46-inch and above will drop around US$2-5, said the firm.
On the other hand, LCD monitor panels sized 18.5-inch are expected to see a US$1-1.50 price increase in June, but 21.5-inch units will see a small decline of US$0.50 due to China-based panel makers' capacity expansions, said WitsView.
WitsView added that it expects global notebook demand to reach 169.1 million units in 2013, declining 8.6% on year, while notebook panel shipments are expected to reach 188 million units.
