Taiwan recorded manufacturing production index (2006 as base year) of 135.93 for January 2011, decreasing 2.44% on month but increasing 17.28% on year, according to Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) figures.
The index for the information technology, communication, electronics industries stood at 182.03, dropping 0.52% on month but rising 25.96% on year.
