Adobe Systems released new software for its popular Flash Player on Sunday that promises to bring the quality of live video on cellular phones closer to that of video on computers.

In another clear sign that Microsoft sees the threat posed by its traditional business moving online, the company is readying a rival to Google's Documents and Spreadsheets.

MT Picture Display, a unit of Japanese giant Matsushita Electric Industrial, will close its operations in Thailand.

The water cooling unit up for review is the Zalman Reserator XT, which is a stand-alone water cooling system that sits outside an enclosure. This design keeps the hot temperature of the enclosure components away from the reservoir. Also, the Reserator XT is highly expandable by allowing the user to add additional water blocks without having to drain the entire cooling system. Everything needed to get the cooling system up and running is included in one package.

The 45/300 project was approved recently by the Investment Committee at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and recommended to be submitted to the government, according to the report. The report estimated that Sitronic would have to spend more than 58 billion rubles (about US$2.3 billion) on building a production facility. However, there was no discussion of how the process technology would be sourced.

The case was originally brought by LG Electronics, which manufactures a part for use in Intel-based communications equipment. LG holds a US patent on that part, which was expressly designed to be used with Intel chips; and Intel sells those chips under license from LG. One of Intel's customers is Quanta, a Taiwan-based computer manufacturer and the original defendant in this case. Quanta wanted to be able to purchase parts from Intel, but use them in its own designs - which may involve parts from suppliers other than Intel.

Flextronics International and Solectron Corporation announced that the shareholders of Flextronics and Solectron have approved the completion of Flextronics's proposed acquisition of Solectron.
