AU Optronics (AUO) plans to showcase its 42-inch LCD TV panels for the first time publicly at FPD Taiwan 2006 in Taipei from June 14-16.
The 42-inch panel features low color washout, high contrast ratio and wide viewing angle with Advanced MVA technology (AMVA).
The panel maker said it is now shipping the panels from its sixth-generation (6G) plant in Taichung, central Taiwan. The 42-inch panel will be produced at its 7.5 plant in the near future, the company indicated.
