Until we have a new video standard higher than 1080p, we will not have a tablet device exceed that. The ipad is not designed to look at huge pictures on a small screen. Video above 720 is useless. Eye can't see better on 10"Posted on Jan 21, 12:11
Imagine playing back 720p iTunes content on a screen with that resolution. Then feel your feet return to the earth.Posted on Jan 21, 10:19
The 2048x1546 resolution is confirmed. And there are a couple other cool surprises you have not yet heard about.Posted on Jan 21, 08:22
Nope they're not. This rumor was already proven false and a tablet would never need anything over 1920*1080 (1080p) anyway.Posted on Jan 21, 05:35
I find it hard to believe they can get a cheap enough screen with that kind of resolution.Posted on Jan 21, 01:54
The iPad will NOT have a 2048x1546 resolution, that's ludicrous. The yield on such LCDs would be so low the LCD alone would account for more than half of the cost of making the iPad. Apple is and has always been about maximizing profit margin.
