    I think that Asus isn't the first to think to use a tactile touch Steen as keyboard. This concept was already patented by a French company, Najmtek. A good idea!

    I was so ready to get an Asus Eee PC on their second release, all I need are two additional items for this to be the perfect device. Touch screen and a resolution of at least 1024x768. I may have to wait a little longer :(

    Touch screen would seal the deal. Bad move on their part. I would love to see this thing with a 9-inch touch screen, but remain below $400.

    I agree! Asus, please change the screen out to 9" to completely fill the area in the same form factor, and make it a touch screen! I want an Eee PC, but I'll absolutely get one if those features are added. Oh and add Bluetooth and wireless draft-N!

    Eee needs a bigger screen and a longer-lasting battery. And stick with Linux.

    For those thinking that the E-TV is planned for $200, note that the article said it would be aimed at no more than 200 above the price of other similar-sized TV's...so for 200 MORE you'd get the Linux functionality integrated on the TV.

    If Asus drops the touch screen from the new Eee PC line then I will have to give Toshiba my money. I already have a touch screen for my current Eee PC, I paid $65 and would be happy to pay twice that, but I want the bigger screen.

    Asus should take care: I too have an Eee PC which is extremely handy and useful. But, I am afraid, flooding the market with cheap products only works with things like laptops or handhelds. When buying an desktop PC, most people expect "power".

    Only $200 more than the competition. ie. 42-inch TV price + 200. Even Asustek doesn't have the production scale and market to sell a 42-inch TV for less than $200.

    Great E-TV, Home Theater solution for MythTV, Elisa, Freevo and so on.
    The real Media Center Linux based.
    I see a great future for this system.

    I hope Asus do not make the mistake of not including a touch screen on their new Eee PCs. Every website I have read has promoted the idea, and many of the new small laptops being released come with a touch screen that can swivel for tablet use.
