Optical film supplier Wah Hong Industrial has reported strong sales for September and third-quarter 2020 on surging demand for optical films from the IT and LCD TV clients.
The company's September revenues came to NT$1.032 billion (US$35.96 million), up 6.81% sequentially and 12.25% on year. Third-quarter revenues totaled NT$2.901 billion, up 16.52% on quarter and 11.6% on year.
Year-to-date revenues amounted to NT$7.562 billion, increasing 5.08% from a year earlier.
In September, demand for optical films, including polarizers, laminating films and wide-color gamut films, for monitor and TV applications was particularly strong from clients in China and Korea, according to company sources.
The current sales momentum will last in the fourth quarter, supported by booming stay-at-home economy, year-end shopping demand, increasing numbers of clients and the launch of new products, said the sources.
