Full connectivity, AI (artificial intelligent) and security technologies will be the three key categories of technology for the future development in the next 25 years, according to Kevin Ho, president of Huawei's handset business.
In the future, the physical world will be able to connect closely with digital world through the full connectivity technology, Ho said at a keynote speech delivered during CES Asia 2016.
Smart devices will be "part" of human being in the future, where people may be able to use apps to "communicate" with the dead, optimizing the ability to download human consciousness into computers, Ho noted.
AI devices will co-exist with human beings in the next 20-30 years, making the human society even better, Ho added.
And for security, it will mean the build-up of authentication, protection and remote defense technologies, Ho said.
Huawei will develop related products and services to capitalize the tremendous opportunities that will come along with the ongoing smartization process, Ho concluded.
Huawei currently has a total of 170,000 employees worldwide, of whom 45% are R&D staff. Huawei has also established 16 innovative centers globally with R&D expenses totaling US$37 billion over the past 10 years, Ho revealed.
