The industries have been frequently seeing the term "user experience" in recent years. Taiwan, though playing an important role in the global IT industry, has always given people the impression of delivering products with powerful functions and specs but without an admirable interface or application flow. As a result, Taiwan makers are facing challenges from strong competitors in China and Korea in this era of smart devices and IoT. AZUL Design, which founded its business on website construction and graphic design in 2006, sees that user experience and user interface is the deciding factor as to whether a product or brand will be well-received by the market in the smart era and therefore looks to be a pioneer in delivering user experience planning, user interface design, and integrated program design services for brand vendors.

Being able to accurately respond to customer needs with robust development and design capabilities, AZUL has made leaps of progress over the years. Multiple global technology leaders including MediaTek, MStar, Philips, AOC, and TPV have chosen AZUL to be a designated partner. AZUL is one of very few firms in the world that can provide customers with design and program development services and is also the most important partner with Qt in the Asia-Pacific region.

"We were able to observe the trend starting in 2010 that smart devices were beginning to emerge in consumers' lives. However, most of the products, such as smart TV, lacked refined interface designs. Therefore, we decided to apply our years of experience in program development and design to start offering MediaTek interface design and program development services. With the consumer market's growing demand for smart TV, AZUL also expanded the partnership with MediaTek to help develop a smart TV user interface based on a variety of technologies, including Flash and HTML5. TV interfaces therefore could escape from the traditional norms and bring innovative experiences to users," states Alex Hsu, Founder & CTO, AZUL Design.

AZUL selected by multiple leading brand vendors, attributing to reliable project flow control

MediaTek was so pleased with the partnership with AZUL that it referred Philips to AZUL. The collaboration with Philips on TV user interface development, beginning in 2011 and continuing for many years, has brought AZUL further opportunities with leading TV makers, AOC and TPV.

"AZUL's advantages lie in the ability to help customers understand their real needs and turn ideas into feasible projects. We also play a part in coordinating and integrating cooperation among IC design houses, assembly factories, program developers, and UI/UX designers by establishing thorough execution plans and flow control. We ensure projects are delivered on time and product launches stay on schedule. Therefore, AZUL is able to win a good reputation, bringing continuing partnership opportunities with global technology leaders," says Hsu.

To allow more brand vendor to see the importance of user interface design, in addition to co-exhibits with Qt, AZUL will also showcase collaborative UI/UX achievements with customers from various industries, including smart TV, water ionizer, video phone, IoT smart vending machine, and smart home device at COMPUTEX 2015.
