Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC on May 6 signed an MOU with the Conexus Mobile Alliance for strategic cooperation to develop smartphones, tablet PCs and other types of mobile terminal devices, according to Taiwan mobile telecom carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET).
Conexus consists of 11 mobile telecom carriers in Asia, including Japan-based NTT DoCoMo, South Korea-based KT, Singapore-based StarHub and FET which is the only member from Taiwan.
The terminal devices to be cooperatively developed will be used in data roaming services offered by Conexus members.
