iPad Air with Apple Pencil support
The new iPad Air in an ultra-thin 10.5-inch design offers the Apple Pencil support. With the A12 Bionic chip with Apple's Neural Engine, the new iPad Air delivers a 70% boost in performance and twice the graphics capability, and the advanced Retina display with True Tone technology is nearly 20% larger with over half a million more pixels, according to the vendor. The Apple-designed Neural Engine of the A12 Bionic chip powers the next generation of apps and iPad workflows using advanced machine learning and Core ML for engaging AR experiences, photo-realistic effects in 3D games and graphics performance within apps. The new iPad Air features the same Wi-Fi performance and Gigabit?class LTE connectivity built into the iPad Pro models. With eSIM technology built in, users can connect to wireless data plans right from iPad when traveling in more than 180 countries around the world, according to Apple.

Apple iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3
Apple has introduced the iPad Air 2 (left) and iPad mini 3 (right). The iPad Air 2 is 6.1mm thin. Both devices offer Touch ID. Apple said the improved Retina display on the iPad Air 2 features a fully-laminated design and its custom-designed anti-reflective coating reduces glare by 56%. The iPad Air 2 is powered by the new Apple-designed A8X chip, which delivers a 40% improvement in CPU performance and 2.5 times the graphics performance of the iPad Air, and still delivers an up to 10-hour battery life. It come with Metal, the new graphics technology in iOS 8. The iPad Air 2 also includes the M8 motion coprocessor that gathers motion data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and an all-new barometer which senses air pressure to provide relative elevation. The iPad mini line has been updated to include the iPad mini 3 with Touch ID and the iPad mini with Retina display, now called the iPad mini 2 and starting at just US$299. Both iPads feature a Retina display, A7 chip, 5-megapixel iSight camera and FaceTime HD camera. The iPad mini is also available starting at US$249.

Apple iPad Air tablet
Apple has announced the iPad Air featuring a 9.7-inch Retina display in a thinner and lighter design. The iPad Air is 20% thinner and 28% lighter than the fourth-generation iPad, and with a narrower bezel the borders of iPad Air are thinner. The new iPad features the Apple-designed A7 chip with 64-bit desktop-class architecture, wireless transmission with built-in Wi-Fi and expanded LTE cellular connectivity, and the newly-designed iOS 7. The A7 chip's 64-bit architecture and support for OpenGL ES version 3.0 allow the iPad to output visual effects, while the tablet also features the M7 motion coprocessor that gathers data from the accelerometer, gyroscope and compass to offload work from the A7 for improved power efficiency. The new iPad also features two antennas to support MIMO technology. Cellular models also come with expanded LTE coverage to accommodate more LTE networks worldwide, while continuing to deliver support for other fast cellular technology around the world (DC-HSDPA, HSPA+).
