Coretronic has reported consolidated revenue of about NT$3.461 billion (US$113.4 million) for September 2025, up 4% from August's NT$3.342 billion and 1% from that of the same month in 2024. For the third quarter of 2025, consolidated revenue reached NT$9.948 billion, up 1% sequentially but down 7% year over year. Cumulative revenue for the first three quarters of 2025 totaled NT$28.28 billion, marking a 5% decline compared to the same period in 2024.

The display solution and backlight module provider attributed the slowdown partly to reduced working days during China's National Day holidays, which are expected to cut October shipments by about 10% for its two main product lines.

Visual product shipment declines

In September, Coretronic's visual product segment generated around NT$719 million in revenue with shipments exceeding 48,000 units—up 16% and 22%, respectively, from August but down 40% and 41%, respectively, year over year. Third quarter 2025 imaging product revenue was approximately NT$2.037 billion, a 21% sequential decrease, while shipments fell 26% to about 129,000 units.

For the first three quarters of 2025, visual product revenue declined 41% to NT$7.062 billion, with shipments dropping 44% to 466,000 units, impacted by US tariffs and currency fluctuations.

Energy-saving products show growth

September energy-saving product revenue rose 3% month over month and 17% year over year to NT$1.926 billion, driven mainly by increased shipments of monitors and notebook applications due to quarter-end momentum.

Revenue from the large-size TV and public information display (PID) segments dropped 19% month over month to NT$569 million in September, while monitor applications revenue grew 15% to NT$415 million. Notebook segment revenue surged 24% to NT$604 million, whereas revenue from the tablet segment decreased 6% to NT$126 million. Overall, energy-saving product shipments reached 2.976 million units in September, up 12% sequentially and 19% year over year.

For the third quarter of 2025, energy-saving product revenue totaled NT$5.636 billion, increasing 33% sequentially and 3% annually, with shipments rising 22% quarter over quarter and 13% year over year to 8.555 million units. However, cumulative revenue for the first nine months of 2025 declined 3% to NT$13.764 billion, while shipments remained flat at 22.56 million units compared to the same period in 2024.

For October, Coretronic expects stable shipments of monitor and notebook applications but anticipates declines in the TV and PID segments. The shortened work schedule during China's National Day holidays is projected to reduce overall energy-saving product shipments by about 10% compared to September.
