Dynabook Technology (Taiwan) Co. marked the 40th anniversary of the Dynabook brand with a press event on May 14, 2025, reflecting on its four-decade journey and outlining its AI-driven growth strategy. Dynabook Inc. CEO and President Kiyofumi Kakudo underscored Taiwan's strategic position in the Asia-Pacific technology landscape and its readiness to scale AI adoption. He said the company will strengthen local alliances to accelerate smart applications and kickstart what he described as a "golden decade of innovation."

Smart solutions from office to factory

Dynabook Taiwan head Chen Liu-de highlighted the company's longstanding focus on Smart Office and Smart Factory solutions, grounded in a customer-first approach. Dynabook collaborates with hardware vendors, system integrators, and software developers to deliver end-to-end solutions that integrate devices, services, and customized systems.

Looking forward, Dynabook Taiwan plans to advance its AI PC offerings while expanding into extended reality (XR) devices and accessories. These technologies will integrate with its existing platforms for cloud conferencing, energy monitoring, and defect detection, powered by AI agents to provide enterprise clients with fully integrated, next-generation solutions.

AI defining industrial competitiveness

Chen remarked that while AI may not replace humans directly, it is already displacing those who fail to embrace it. He emphasized that unlocking value through AI will become a defining metric of industrial competitiveness.

With four decades of innovation behind it, Dynabook is well-positioned to capitalize on the convergence of edge computing and next-generation AI models, including large language models (LLMs). Chen noted that the accelerating pace of development in this space is drawing increased industry investment, an opportunity Dynabook views as core to its future growth.

AIoT powers transformation across sectors

Dynabook is centering its R&D on AIoT, merging intelligent device and software development with its deep system integration know-how to drive digital transformation across smart offices, automated factories, and energy-efficient infrastructure.

Its proprietary cloud conferencing system uses AI voice models to enhance clarity by filtering ambient noise and suppressing interference. Voiceprint registration enables the system to accurately recognize individual speakers while blocking background chatter. Additional features such as real-time translation and automated meeting summaries enhance multilingual communication and global team productivity.

In manufacturing environments, Dynabook provides comprehensive smart factory solutions—from consulting through implementation—designed to streamline operations, automate processes, and elevate quality control standards.

In energy management, Dynabook has partnered with SYNergy ScienTech Corp. to co-develop a modular smart energy platform. The collaboration fuses Dynabook's AI analytics and optimization tools with SYNergy ScienTech's expertise in energy storage and communication protocols, offering industrial clients a pathway to lower emissions and stronger energy resilience.

Chen concluded that while AI is a powerful catalyst, it's not the ultimate arbiter of success. The key lies in leveraging AI through smart systems, connected hardware, and agent-based applications—a paradigm already reshaping workflows from factory lines to boardrooms.
