Tata Group and Analog Devices have announced a strategic alliance to explore cooperative manufacturing opportunities by using Analog Devices's products in Tata applications.

According to a press release, Tata Group companies, including Tata Electronics, Tata Motors, and Tejas Networks, signed an MoU with ADI to enhance cooperation and investigate semiconductor manufacturing in India while integrating ADI's products into Tata's applications, such as EVs and network infrastructure. This collaboration aims to strengthen the electronics manufacturing ecosystem in India for both domestic and global markets.

N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, stated that the Tata Group is deeply committed to pioneering a thriving semiconductor industry in India. He expressed excitement about partnering with Analog Devices across the semiconductor value chain and exploring collaboration between Analog Devices and Tata Group companies to design and offer advanced products to serve customers.

Vincent Roche, CEO of Analog Devices, noted that this joint effort aligns with the company's commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the region. By combining Analog Devices' real-world semiconductor solutions and software expertise with Tata's vision and capabilities, the partnership aims to accelerate the development of cutting-edge technologies, ranging from electric vehicles to next-generation network infrastructure.

Tata Electronics is investing in building India's first semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat, with a total investment of US$11 billion. Additionally, Tata Electronics plans to invest US$3 billion in a greenfield OSAT facility in Jagiroad, Assam.

The partnership will explore manufacturing Analog Devices' products at Tata Electronics' facility in Gujarat and at an OSAT facility in Assam. Tata Motors and Analog Devices will also look for collaboration opportunities in electronics hardware components for energy storage and power electronics in both commercial and passenger vehicles, while Tejas Networks and ADI will focus on network infrastructure components.
