Driven by the global push towards zero emissions, industries such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, and energy management control have become the latest hotspots for investment. For Industrial PC (IPC) companies accustomed to navigating challenging environments and managing data acquisition and computation, the burgeoning sector presents numerous opportunities.

Major IPC players such as Advantech, Ennoconn, DFI, Adlink Technology, Axiomtek, iBase Solution, Nexcom International, Icp Das, and Winmate strategically prioritize monitoring, applications, and services related to renewable energy systems, energy storage systems, and industrial facility energy consumption. Immediate surveillance of energy consumption within factory complexes, buildings, and sites is the inaugural foray for IPC companies venturing into the green realm.

For IPC entities, the real-time monitoring of energy consumption in industrial settings leverages their extensive experience, coupled with the maturation of diverse wireless transmission technologies and the realization of IoT concepts. Collaborations with cloud service providers (CSPs) by select IPC firms, integrating AI technology into energy monitoring systems, yield tangible benefits, showcasing at least a 10% reduction in energy consumption.

While challenges persist in integrating disparate systems and subsystems, particularly in older facilities, industry players rally behind calls for open standards to facilitate seamless integration. Conceptual frameworks like Digital Twin and the AI Factory initiative from Nvidia aim to contribute to ongoing optimization across diverse industries.

IPC entities, leveraging their expertise in solar energy and industrial automation, particularly within manufacturing, are strategically poised to integrate existing hardware and software systems. Collaborative endeavors with CSPs and adopting AI applications are imperative to generate value for end customers.
