In the ever-expanding field of clean energy, Canada-based startup Daanaa is making waves with its groundbreaking power transaction technology. Founded in 2018, Daanaa has developed a unique solution that enables free, safe, and efficient power transfer, paving the way for significant advancements in electric vehicle (EV) charging, battery management systems (BMS), and solar power.

In an exclusive interview with Udi Daon, the CEO of Daanaa, we delve into the company's innovative capabilities and vision for a greener future.

Daanaa's power transaction possesses several exceptional capabilities that set it apart from traditional energy transfer methods. With bidirectionality and position freedom, Daanaa's solution enables efficient wireless power transfer through various materials, including wood, plastics, glass, concrete, and more. Furthermore, it facilitates simultaneous transactions between multiple devices of different sizes, shapes, and power requirements, offering targeted, adaptable and scalable transfer, from 1W to 10kW demonstrated and able to go beyond that by implementing a power pixel approach.

Regarding solar power, Daanaa's technology offers several advantages over conventional solar panels. Firstly, it enables a substantial increase in energy generation from the same surface area by eliminating losses incurred through series connections. This architectural innovation maximizes energy output, allowing for better utilization of available real estate for solar installations. In other words, Daanaa simplifies the installation process, minimizing logistical challenges and costs.

Lastly, Daanaa's architecture eliminates hotspots, a phenomenon that can lead to reduced efficiency and causes permanent damage to a solar panel. The overall result is a superior product with enhanced energy generation, simplified installation, and reduced maintenance, offering long-term cost savings to customers.

Notably, integrating Daanaa's technology into solar power systems results in an increase in power generation in light-obstructed situations, contributing to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Udi also emphasizes the significance of solar panel size and connectivity in achieving optimal energy generation. While the market trends toward larger panels and more potent cells, Daanaa embraces this evolution as its technology can adapt to these advancements seamlessly.

Daanaa's initial funding came from internal sources and seed investments from local angels in Vancouver. The company closed a Series A round a year and a half ago, raising approximately US$7.1 million. Udi Daon reveals that Daanaa plans to launch another funding round within the next six to eight months, tailoring its strategy based on market needs and conditions and the company's journey.

Daanaa's technology extends beyond solar power to support various aspects of energy management and drive the clean energy transition. With wireless charging capability for electric vehicles (EVs) and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) functionality, Daanaa allows safe, efficient and convenient charging with parking position freedom that can also send power back to the grid to support the electrical infrastructure management. Its battery technology optimizes battery life, storage, and overall system efficiency by closely monitoring and managing power conversion at the cell level. This comprehensive approach positions Daanaa as a holistic solution provider in the sustainable energy space.

Meanwhile, the startup aims to establish strong partnerships with manufacturers who share its vision and can collaborate in the production, assembly, and distribution of its technology. Additionally, the company seeks opportunities to license its intellectual property and leverage its technology, particularly in the clean energy industry. Finally, Daanaa strives to build a robust network of investors and customers aligned with its mission, supporting mutual growth and development.

In conclusion, Daanaa's power transaction technology has the potential to revolutionize the clean energy landscape. It is driving advancements in EV charging, battery management systems, and solar power by enabling efficient power transfer. With a focus on strong partnerships, licensing opportunities, and investor and customer collaboration, Daanaa aims to be at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions. As the world continues its transition toward clean energy, Daanaa's holistic approach and groundbreaking technology are poised to impact the future of power generation and energy management.
