Foxconn Industrial Internet (FII) has launched an AI service platform called AION for industrial users, aiming to promote the platform to sectors such as precision medicine, smart manufacturing, and new applications deriving from metaverse.

Many data center and cloud service providers are helping industries adapt to AI technology. How to expedite the process by facilitating their hardware and software integration is the key to making a difference.

For industrial users, a data center service's capacity and security are just basic requirements, while its technology level is more crucial, FII vice president Hsu Shou-kuo said.

FII's AION platform provides cloud connectivity, AI model integration process, automated machine learning, and auto-labeling tools, allowing business users to shorten the time for model launches, and it can support different cloud settings, including public, private, and mixed cloud platforms, he said.

The company's solutions have been adopted by users in various sectors, such as digital medicine that relies on computer-assisted diagnosis, autonomous driving technology that needs training and simulation models, and industrial applications with automated optical inspection, he said.

Many businesses that are resorting to AI do not have the expertise in AI and ICT technology, while they can use the AION platform to develop AI models tailored to their needs, Hsu said.

The platform can be used in digital medicine, digital content creation, smart city, autonomous driving vehicles, financial innovation, smart manufacturing, retailing, and metaverse applications, he said.
