Foxconn to acquire Belkin to step into smart home market

Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT), a subsidiary of Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), has annouced plans to wholly acquire US-based mobile and peripheral devices supplier Belkin International for US$866 million in cash.
