Touchscreen controller IC specialist Elan Microelectronics has reported consolidated revenues of NT$599 million (US$18.3 million) for November 2015, down 2.6% on month but up 2.2% on year.
Elan's revenues for October and November totaled NT$1.21 billion. The company estimated previously fourth-quarter revenues would decrease 2-4% from NT$1.68 billion in the prior quarter.
Elan could post better-than-expected revenue results for the fourth quarter of 2015, thanks to a pull-in of short lead-time orders from its notebook customers, a recent Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report cited market watchers as saying. Elan's fourth-quarter revenues could be on par with its third-quarter results or even outperform the level, the report said.
Elan's cumulative 2015 revenues through November amounted to NT$6.1 billion, down 13.4% from a year earlier.
