Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) will provide smart home services based on its mobile communications networks through cooperation with other members of the Far Eastern Group in the second half of 2015, according to company chairman and the business group's president Douglas Hsu.
FET plans to cooperate with Far Eastern Memorial Hospital and real estate developer Far Eastern Construction, to provide smart home services which will include residential security monitoring, care-taking of the elderly and pets, FET executive vice president and chief sales & marketing officer Maxwell Cheng indicated.
FET shareholders, at its 2015 meeting on June 18, approved the distribution of a cash dividend per share of NT$3.75 (US$0.12) for 2014, 6.53% in excess of the corresponding net EPS of NT$3.52.
