Taiwan-based Aurona Industries, a manufacturer of phenolic resins laminates, disclosed recently that the company has entered the supply chain of semiconductor assembly and test services providers. Aurona serves mainly the PCB and IC substrate industries.
Aurona indicated that shipments to its IC backend customers are set to expand and drive its overall business growth in 2015. Meanwhile, shipments for high-end PCB backup boards and flexible PCB backup boards will remain brisk thanks to strong demand coming from China's smartphone market, the company said.
Aurona announced February consolidated revenues of NT$88 million (US$2.8 million), down 7.9% sequentially. Revenues for the first two months of 2015 totaled NT$183 million, rising 8.1% from a year earlier.
