Taiwan-based Netronix shipped about two million e-book readers for a global market share of 10% in 2012 and aims to hike its share to 15-20% in 2013, 25-30% in 2014, and 35-40% in three years to become the world's largest ODM, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

Netronix landed large orders from Japan-based e-book reader vendor Kobo in 2012 and orders from Europe-based telecom carriers earlier in 2013, with respective shipments on going, the paper indicated. In addition, Netronix has been tapping markets in Brazil, India and Europe. The proportion of Netronix's total revenues from e-book readers rose to 70% for the first quarter of 2013, the paper said.

Netronix's shareholders, at its 2013 shareholders meeting on June 17, approved the distribution of a cash dividend per share of NT$5 (US$0.17) for 2012, accounting for 97.66% of the corresponding net EPS of NT$5.12.
