UDE expects 2013 revenues to grow by over 10% from 2012

Taiwan-based integrated magnetic connector maker UDE expects connectors used in networking/communication equipment and games consoles to drive growth of more than 10% in revenues in 2013 from 2012, according to the company.

UDE has begun shipments of integrated magnetic connectors to Japan-based games console makers, and is in the process of certification by US-based makers, the company indicated. UDE aims at a global market share of 10% for integrated magnetic connectors used in games consoles in 2013, the company said.

UDE has its headquarters with a floor area of 423 square meters (4,555 square feet) and 72 employees in northern Taiwan, a factory with 23,020 square meters and 1,460 workers in southern China and another with 36,480 square meters and 2,457 workers in western China, the company noted.

UDE posted revenues of NT$356 million (US$12.0 million) for September, hitting a monthly record for the third consecutive time, and those of NT$1.043 billion for the third quarter of 2012, also hitting a quarterly record, the company indicated.

UDE on October 18 started listing on the local over-the-counter (OTC) stock market at NT$50 per share.
