IC design houses Holtek Semiconductor and Macroblock have both revealed that their revenues are likely to slide by a double-digit rate sequentially in the fourth quarter due to off-season effects.
Holtek saw its revenues drop 7% sequentially to NT$1.05 billion (US$34.18 million) in the third quarter. For the first three quarters, net profits totaled NT$670 million, or an EPS of NT$3.05.
Holtek expects its fourth-quarter revenues to reach a similar level to the first-quarter amount of around NT$870 million, representing a 16-18% decline from the third quarter.
