First International Computer (FIC) has announced a reseller agreement with Tridium, a global provider of device-to-enterprise application software and integration solutions. Under the terms of agreement, FIC has received rights to distribute all of Tridium's technologies and products including NiagaraAX, Sedona Framework, Java Application Control Engine (JACE) controllers, and I/O controllers worldwide.
By offering Tridium's software platform, FIC can now provide its customers with a complete device-to-enterprise solution that can be easily managed and controlled in real-time over the Internet, the company said.
FIC chairman and president Ming J Chien pointed out that the company is already advancing into the industrial PC (IPC) market as the company's notebook business faces a decline in gross margins. Chien believes that the cooperation with Tridium will help reduce the revenue contribution from notebooks to below 50% in 2011 and should also help the company to break even in 2010 with revenues of NT$15-18 billion (US$473.41-568.09 million).
