Firich unveils ViVi POS

Firich Enterprises, a Taiwan-based maker of POS (point of sale/service) equipment/devices, on April 20 debuted ViVi POS, an electronic cash register equipped with basic POS functions, for sale in the Taiwan market, with restaurants and small retail stores being target users, according to the company.

Firich expects to sell at least 5,000 units of the new device in 2009, the company indicated. Firich will launch the model in the China market in June 2009, the company added.

ViVi POS features software developed by Firich itself, while Firich-produced POS equipment/devices used by large retail chain are installed with various customized software developed or supplied by providers of system integration service based on clients' needs, according to industry sources.
