ASE to obtain NT$8 billion for fire compensation

Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) has reached a settlement with insurers for compensation of NT$8.07 billion (US$247.49 million), following fire damage at its Chungli, Taiwan, plant in May 2005, according to the company.
