Dell and Hewlett-Packard (HP) ranked fourth and fifth, respectively, in terms of shipment volume for desktop PCs in China during the first quarter of this year, according to China-based consulting firm Analysys International.
The average shipment value of 5,007 yuan (US$622) per desktop PC for the first quarter dropped by 10.6% from the preceding quarter due to a larger portion of the total shipments last quarter being for cheaper home-use models, Analysys pointed out.
