Profits of HTC soar 243% on year in 1Q to NT$5.39 billion

High Tech Computer (HTC) posted profits of NT$5.39 billion (US$169 million) in the first quarter of 2006, a record growth of 243% on year. The handheld device maker also hit a historical earnings per share (EPS) high of NT$15.11 during the quarter.
