AMD to ship 600,000 K8 CPUs in 3Q, 1.5-2 million in 4Q

Current shipments of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) Athlon 64 processors to OEM clients and the channel are better than anticipated, and the company expects to ship 600,000 units in the third quarter, according to sources at Taiwan motherboard makers.
