State-owned fixed-line and mobile phone service provider Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) booked net profits of NT$23.904 billion, or NT$2.48 a share, in the first half of the year. First-half revenues grew 2% year-on-year to NT$87.994 billion, achieving 55.8% of its 2003 forecast. According to the company, it currently has 7.83 million mobile phone subscribers and over 2.5 million ADSL subscribers.
