Global server shipments in the fourth quarter of 2025 exceeded previous expectations, growing 3.6% quarter-over-quarter. Major US cloud service providers (CSPs) simultaneously drove shipments of both AI and general-purpose servers.
As demand for AI applications increases, not only are AI servers needed, but traditional storage and general-purpose computing also require expansion and upgrades. Among them, Amazon delivered the most impressive performance, with shipments posting a quarterly growth of over 10%.
Brand vendors continued their recovery momentum seen in the third quarter, with shipments steadily rebounding. In total, global server shipments reached 15.6 million units in 2025, a 4.8% increase over 2024.
