According to DIGITIMES, the global 5G FWA CPE market faced its first year-on-year shipment decline in the first quarter of 2026. Shipments for the quarter reached 2.835 million units, decreasing 8.7% year on year. But shipments are projected to rebound to 3.24 million units in the second quarter of 2026, with the year-on-year decline narrowing to 4%, indicating that the peak of impact from negative factors has passed.
Despite continued pressure on 5G FWA CPE shipments, shortages of memory and chips have pushed up the ASP of the devices. The global production value is projected to decline by only 1.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, significantly more stable than the 4% decline in shipments. The rising ASP is key to supporting the resilience of the production value.
Taiwanese manufacturers shipped 1.8543 million 5G FWA CPE units in the first quarter of 2026, decreasing 2.97% year on year – a much smaller decline than the global average. Thanks to their diversified regional customer structure, higher proportion of direct supply to telecom operators, and supply chain flexibility, the Taiwanese makers continued to maintain a global market share of approximately 60%.
