DIGITIMES's observations of the global automotive display market reveal that despite the uncertainties of the global economic environment, continued subsidies for new energy vehicles from the Chinese and EU governments are driving growth in automotive display shipments.
In particular, Chinese automakers are actively promoting affordable models with center console panels larger than 10 inches, boosting overall shipments of automotive displays larger than 9 inches. Global automotive display shipments are projected to reach 245 million units in 2025, of which 9-inch and larger panels will account for 144 million, or 58.8%.
Center consoles will remain the leading application, with shipments expected to reach 123 million units. Shipments of 9-inch and larger center console panels will reach 87 million units, or 70.7% of total center console panel shipments, exceeding 70% for the first time ever.
