Taiwanese networking firm D-Link Corporation has landed a significant Wi-Fi 6 enterprise access point (EAP) order in India, securing a contract for 50,000 units slated for shipment beginning in July 2025. The deal highlights D-Link's growing foothold in India's rapidly expanding enterprise networking market and reflects the success of its long-term investment in the region.
CEO and spokesperson CJ Chang said the order demonstrates the company's sustained focus on India's small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment. He noted that D-Link's commercial-grade networking products offer more consistent margins, contributing to overall revenue stability and reinforcing its position in the Indian market.
Beyond the enterprise segment, D-Link is expanding into the residential and small office/home office (SOHO) markets with new Wi-Fi 6 solutions. In early 2025, the company began shipping Taiwan-designed dual-band Wi-Fi 6 routers, aiming to deploy over 100,000 units through major Indian retail channels by year-end.
India's networking infrastructure has traditionally leaned on Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, but rising demand driven by infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation policies is now accelerating the shift to Wi-Fi 6. D-Link is positioning itself as an early mover by launching deployments in the second quarter of 2025.
Chang emphasized that D-Link's product roadmap is now aligned with high-performance, high-value networking solutions, balancing strong technical capabilities with competitive pricing. As India evolves into a key global market for networking infrastructure, D-Link plans to deepen local partnerships, invest in regional talent, and adapt to shifting regulatory conditions through its localized operational model.
